Al Brown, MPA, is the Director of Environmental Research Initiatives at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus and a faculty member with the Environmental Technology Management program. He is a former Director for the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department. Prior to that, he worked for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Department of Health Services. Brown has 30 years of professional experience, including air quality, water quality, wastewater management, hazardous waste management, environmental remediation, solid waste management, food protection, vector control, public administration and public health practice. He has managed the environmental response component of public health epidemics, disease investigations and natural disaster emergency response actions.
